# Mexico's El Buen Fin 2026: dates and offer checks | Muchita

Published by Muchita Shopping · Updated 2026-10-11 · Canonical: https://shopping.muchita.ai/guides/el-buen-fin/

Friday, November 13 to Tuesday, November 17, with the Monday 16 public holiday inside; Friday 20 is outside the event. [Check the SAT draw separately from the offer.](https://shopping.muchita.ai/guides/el-buen-fin/#sorteo-sat)

## In short

- The official rules set Friday, November 13 through Tuesday, November 17, 2026 as the event. The commercial advertising campaign starts November 1; that does not advance the official shopping period.
- A registered store is not a verified deal. Check the exact model and package, the actual seller, availability and the conditions of the particular offer.
- Compare equivalent item prices in MXN. Keep card rewards, store credit, installment plans and shipping visible but separate from item-price savings.

> An independent Muchita guide. Muchita is not an organizer, registered participant or sponsor of El Buen Fin. We do not use the event's official logo or publish a list of live retailer offers.

## Five event days. Each offer has its own clock.

The organizer's [2026 rules](https://www.elbuenfin.org/assets/documents/REGLAS_DE_OPERACION_BUEN_FIN.pdf) confirm November 13-17 and allow a seller to limit a promotion to selected days, products, regions or sales channels. Check the actual product page and promotion terms before planning a purchase.

| Moment | 2026 dates | Where | Before you buy |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Advance advertising | November 1 - 12 | Mexico | Advertising begins on the 1st; the event has not begun. Advance advertising does not prove an offer is live or available. |
| El Buen Fin | November 13 - 17 | Mexico | Each offer may run shorter than the event. Check its dates, stock, eligible product, city and channel. |
| Mandatory rest day | Monday, November 16 | Mexico | The third-Monday holiday for November 20. Confirm store hours and delivery; it does not guarantee a store opens or closes. |
| After the event | From November 18 | Mexico | The official period has ended; Friday, November 20 is outside it. A retailer's separate offer runs on its own terms. |

## A participating store is not a verified deal.

Start with the [organizer's participant directory](https://www.elbuenfin.org/consumidores) when a store claims to be part of the event. Registration tells you about the business's participation, not whether your item is discounted, in stock, or offered by that business rather than a marketplace seller.

Open the seller's actual offer and record the exact product code, package contents, condition, seller and availability. A platform name alone does not identify a third-party seller. If one of these facts is missing, keep the question open.

On desktop Chrome, Muchita Shopping can start a user-requested search for the exact product. It does not certify every store or promotion.

## Does your purchase qualify for the SAT draw?

A displayed El Buen Fin logo is not enough. Check the store in the [official directory](https://www.elbuenfin.org/consumidores) or follow its QR to a valid registration result on elbuenfin.org. Even confirmed event registration does not certify your purchase for the draw: [section 5 of the 2026 rules](https://www.elbuenfin.org/assets/documents/REGLAS_DE_OPERACION_BUEN_FIN.pdf) says Mexico's tax authority, SAT, validates additional merchant requirements.

The [2026 decree](https://sidof.segob.gob.mx/notas/docFuente/5799957) covers debit or credit card purchases made November 13-17 at registered businesses and awards selected winners. The cases below show the published payment, amount and date gates; they do not establish complete eligibility for a particular card or purchase.

| Your purchase | Current 2026 evidence | What you can conclude |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Paid entirely in cash | The decree covers debit and credit card purchases. | Outside that card-payment framework. An event logo does not change the payment method. |
| One card transaction of MXN 249 | Below both the [consumer FAQ](https://www.elbuenfin.org/preguntas-frecuentes) minimum and the [business-page](https://www.elbuenfin.org/comercios) wording. | Does not meet either published organizer amount threshold. |
| One card transaction of exactly MXN 250 | The [consumer FAQ](https://www.elbuenfin.org/preguntas-frecuentes) says at least MXN 250; the [business page](https://www.elbuenfin.org/comercios) says more than MXN 250. | Boundary unresolved here. Check the 2026 SAT bases before relying on eligibility; neither wording guarantees entry. |
| More than MXN 250, November 13-17, at an organizer-verified participant | Amount and date fit the organizer's stated framework. SAT separately validates merchant conditions. | Still conditional: verify the merchant and participating card against the 2026 SAT bases. Amount, date and event registration alone are insufficient. |
| Before November 13 or from November 18 | Outside the decree's November 13-17 purchase period. | Advertising from November 1 does not advance the draw purchase period. |

Checked October 11, 2026: the links inspected did not let us verify the full 2026 SAT bases. The version of the [SAT minisite](https://www.sat.gob.mx/minisitio/SorteoElBuenFin/index.html) we could read describes 2025, so its draw and results dates cannot settle the 2026 schedule. We have not confirmed automatic shopper entry or foreign-issued card eligibility. Read the edition year before using its rules.

A possible draw prize is not an item-price discount. Compare the price you will pay for the same product without subtracting a prize you may never win.

## Separate an item-price cut from a payment perk.

| What the banner says | Record separately | Can it lower the item-price ranking? |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Lower cash item price | Verified outright price of the same item, currency and tax basis | Yes, if identity, condition, stock and eligibility also match. |
| Card cashback or store credit | Amount, issuer, eligible card, cap, timing and redemption terms | No. It is a conditional benefit, not the listed item price. |
| Interest-free installments | Full purchase price, payment count, card conditions and consequences of missed payments | No. A monthly payment is not the outright item price. |
| Bundle or trade-in | Included items, required trade-in and any separate benefit | No, unless the exact product and commercial model are genuinely equivalent. |
| Delivery | Free, a verified amount, or unknown/may be added | No. Show it separately and check the applicable total before paying. |

Profeco [distinguishes offers and promotional incentives](https://www.gob.mx/profeco/prensa/oferta-y-promocion-revista-del-consumidor-explica-sus-diferencias-previo-al-buen-fin?idiom=es). Do not subtract a possible future bonus from today's item price or treat unknown delivery as free. Only add a component to a total when it applies to this buyer and its amount is verified.

## Check the offer before paying.

These steps use facts you can inspect yourself. Difficult or ambiguous offers can take longer. Stop before naming a cheaper item if a required fact stays unknown.

1. **Write the exact product.** Record the model number, variant, package, capacity or size and condition. Match these before comparing prices.
2. **Identify the actual seller and stock.** Check the seller shown at purchase, including a marketplace seller, and whether your exact variant can be bought now.
3. **Verify the price you can pay.** Use the full outright item price in MXN, with the same tax basis and any membership or coupon eligibility established.
4. **Read the promotion's limits.** Check day, channel, region, eligible card, minimum spend, cap and whether the benefit is an immediate price cut or a later reward.
5. **Compare and keep the evidence.** Compare equivalent item prices; note shipping separately. Check the applicable total, delivery and return terms before payment. Save your own dated observation and confirmation.

## Know when to leave a row unranked.

- **Same marketing name, different item.** A different model suffix, storage size, package or refurbished condition can change the product. Keep it out of a same-product comparison until resolved.
- **A monthly number dressed as a product price.** Multiply a payment amount only to understand the commitment after checking the actual agreement. Do not rank an installment amount against a cash item price.
- **An eligibility promise without a buyer.** A card, app, geographic or seller-specific benefit belongs in your decision only if its terms apply to you. A participant badge does not settle that.

## If a store does not honor the offer.

Keep the advertising, your payment receipt and the terms you saw. Profeco, Mexico's consumer agency, takes complaints by phone and online. Both channels are in Spanish.

### Consumer phone line (Teléfono del Consumidor)

55 5568 8722 in Mexico City and its metropolitan area; 800 468 8722 free from elsewhere in Mexico, as listed on Profeco's Concilianet site, checked October 11, 2026.

## Make your own shortlist before the banners arrive.

Choose a specific product you actually need and save its model, package, target budget and a dated price that you observed. One observation is not a price history or proof of a future saving.

When the offer appears, check the same model and package, the full cash price in MXN, condition, seller and terms. If anything differs, do not compare the prices. Keep the original links in your own notes and check them again before paying.

## Questions and answers

### When is El Buen Fin 2026?

November 13-17, 2026, according to the organizer. Individual promotions may have shorter periods or narrower product, region or channel limits.

### Does it start on November 1?

No. The event starts November 13. The commercial advertising campaign begins November 1, according to the official rules.

### Is every participating store's price a deal?

No. Participation does not establish the price, stock, conditions or value of a particular offer. Check the exact item and offer yourself.

### Should a card bonus count as a lower item price?

No. Record a card bonus or store credit separately with its eligibility and timing. Compare verified outright item prices for equivalent offers.

### What if a seller offers interest-free installments?

Check the full purchase price and agreement. A monthly payment is not an outright item price and should not be ranked against one.

### Can I compare on a phone?

On a phone, compare offers you checked yourself in the price comparison calculator. Automatic checks with Muchita Shopping require desktop Chrome.

### Does an El Buen Fin logo mean my purchase qualifies for the SAT draw?

No. Verify the store's event registration in the official directory or through a valid official QR result. SAT separately validates merchant requirements. The card, purchase date, amount and 2026 SAT bases also matter; the event logo alone confirms none of them.

### Does a purchase of exactly MXN 250 qualify for the 2026 SAT draw?

We cannot confirm that boundary here. The current organizer consumer FAQ says at least MXN 250, while its business page says more than MXN 250. Check the 2026 SAT bases before relying on eligibility. Paying above that amount still does not guarantee entry or a prize.
