Muchita Shopping vs. Keepa
Keepa supplies Amazon price-history charts, target-price and availability alerts, and comparisons across Amazon locales. Muchita checks matching offers across retailers when you ask and ranks verified item prices. A history chart helps assess recorded prices; it cannot predict the next price or replace checking the current offer.

Verified item-price comparison
Choose Muchita if…
- Your question is where to buy, not when - the same model and variant across stores
- You shop beyond Amazon; Muchita runs on product pages generally, not one marketplace
- You want each result linked to the offer page it was verified against
- You want item price and shipping shown separately, never blended into one number

Amazon price history
Keepa may fit better if…
- You buy mostly on Amazon - its listing names ten Amazon marketplaces
- You want to know whether today's price is high or low against that product's own history
- You want a watch that notifies you when a price drops below your target; Muchita never checks prices automatically
- You want a chart embedded directly in the Amazon product page, with no action from you

Keepa features come from its Chrome Web Store listing read October 4, 2026. Missing details are unknown, not proof a feature is absent. Looking for a Keepa alternative?
Read the history,
then reopen the offer.
On the Amazon page for your chosen variant, inspect which price series the chart shows and the dates it covers. A recorded low is a past observation, not a current purchasable offer or a forecast. Check the actual seller, condition, pack, membership eligibility and current item price before acting on it.
Keepa also advertises comparisons across Amazon locales. Before buying across borders, confirm the same product, currency, tax basis and delivery eligibility, with shipping disclosed separately. An Amazon-locale comparison is a different coverage scope from a check across unrelated retailers; this page has not measured either tool’s coverage.
If you need a current comparison at other retailers, start a Muchita check and inspect the linked offer evidence. Muchita’s own local history contains only observations from checks you requested; it does not backfill earlier prices or provide scheduled watches. Neither history establishes the best day to buy.
Where Muchita falls short
What Muchita
does not do.
- Muchita can chart local price observations for a saved product after enough user-requested checks. It does not backfill earlier retailer prices, provide continuous coverage or schedule checks and alerts.
- Muchita does not watch prices for you. There is no scheduled tracking, automatic check or price-drop notification.
- A Muchita check opens retailer pages and takes time. An existing chart shows recorded data; no comparative timing benchmark was run.
- Muchita is a Chrome extension. There is no mobile app and no Safari or Firefox build.

Comparison FAQ
Fair questions, plain answers.
Does Muchita show price history?
Yes, for your saved products and your own checks. Muchita stores those price observations locally and can display a chart once there are enough observations. It does not supply prices from before your checks or continuous retailer history.
Does Muchita notify me when a price drops?
No. Muchita does not schedule price checks and does not send price-drop notifications. Every check is one you start. Keepa's listing describes price watches that notify you when a product falls below your target.
Does Muchita work on Amazon?
Muchita runs on product pages where it can identify the exact item and find offers it can verify, and it is not tied to a single marketplace. Keepa's listing names ten Amazon marketplaces specifically.
Can I use both?
Their tasks can complement each other: read recorded history, then check comparable current offers. Muchita starts checks when you ask. We have not tested every interaction between the extensions, and a pairing is not evidence of better savings.
Is the lower price a landed total?
No. Muchita ranks by verified item price only, and shows shipping separately as free, a known amount, or unknown and may be added. It never treats unknown shipping as zero and never presents a blended landed total as if it were verified.
